Helping With Science & Technology

At the core of every Sabre project is the belief that science can be used to create a better world. That belief, combined with ingenuity and determination of the human spirit, is the basis of corporate values that have driven the company’s innovation - and its success.

In addition to the environmental benefits generated by the company’s day-to-day work, Sabre continues to search for innovative ways in which its science and technology can be used to help others.

Energy/Water Project: Play for Power, Play for Peace

energy/water project: play for power, play for peace

The company is using its technology for an exciting new initiative that combines science and learning in a global way. Sabre designed and built a playground capable of generating enough power to support a water pump, water tower and lights for the playground at the Woodland Hills Montessori School in East Greenbush, New York. The same system will be built at a sister school in Tanzania, which will provide a well, water source and electricity for 639 students that currently walk over a mile and a half to the nearest water source. The project grew out of a curriculum developed by the students, Sabre and the school to pair playgrounds around the world and provide lessons based in science and energy, as well as the cultural exchange between schools.  read more
